Escorted holidays to the Canadian Rockies

Mt Robson

Holidays to the Canadian Rockies offer infinite opportunities for discovery, exploration, and relaxation.

There is the turquoise Lake Louise, Canada’s most picturesque lake, the historic Jasper Skytram and the capital of the Rockies, the lively town of Banff. You can journey through the most spectacular parts of the country via legendary roads including Icefields Parkway and the Trans-Canada Highway, or even onboard the world's most scenic railway, the Rocky Mountaineer. On this historic locomotive, you can take in the ever-changing environments of coastal ranges, glaciers, and waterfront cities.

Nicknamed the “Rockies”, this range is the largest and most significant in North America. The Rocky Mountains span 3,000 miles from northern British Columbia to central New Mexico, with the highest peak of Mount Robson standing at just under 4,000 metres high. From the charming alpine resort of Sun Peaks to the spectacular views of the region's stunning national parks, our Canadian Rockies bus tours provide the chance to explore the wild beauty of the Rockies in small, friendly groups.

Food and drink in the Rockies

Meals in the Canadian Rockies means ample opportunities to try delicacies, which largely centre around game such as bison, venison and elk, although Alberta beef and fresh seafood are also plentiful here.

Built in Lake Louise in 1901, the Lake Agnes Tea House makes for the perfect pit stop. Despite having no electricity or running water, visitors will find a range of light bites and warm beverages to help them refuel.

Of course, an important part of any outdoor holiday is keeping up energy while out on walks, so be sure to stock up in any of the local towns to make sure you aren't caught off-guard.
