Chobe Safari Lodge, Kasane
Positioned on the banks of the Chobe River and just a 10-minute drive from the wildlife-rich Chobe National Park, this thatched resort dates back to 1959 and promises an authentic safari getaway with a beautiful backdrop. The property is built around a palm-thatched open-air restaurant with a shaded terrace that looks out over the river. Guests can enjoy sundowners and post-dinner drinks at one of the two bars. The Palm River Hotel, Victoria Falls (nights 5-7)

Based in a private concession on the edge of the lively Hwange National Park, near the populous Dete Vlei area, the lodge pairs modern comforts with unparalleled intimacy with Zimbabwe’s natural world. The property offers an underground hide and treehouse platform, looking out across the nearby watering holes, as well as an outdoor swimming pool. Guestrooms are set in a series of 11 traditional thatched ‘rondavels’ (round houses) and include mosquito nets and private terraces.

Offering a sustainable and immersive take on safari accommodation, this Amalinda Collection lodge is set in a prime location for wildlife-spotting and promises unrestricted views of the local animals from a series of private hides.
